“Riverdance is as much a phenomenon as a show.” – New York Post

OUTLINE
You’ll remember the original Riverdance as it catapulted into worldwide fame – a wonderful amalgamation of the energy and choreography of traditional Irish dance, international dance styles, incredible original music performed in the spirit of the tradition by a live band without the use of sheet music, breathtaking orchestrations, and a colourful explosion of superb stagecraft, with a slightly modern twist. Now, thirty years after its initial success, the stage is set to come alive with the talents and artistry of a new generation of performers, all of whom were not born when Riverdance first began, and none of whom ever have a toe out of place.
The new generation of Riverdance completely rejuvenated and breathed new life into the much-loved original show, adding new and innovative choreography, spectacular costumes, breathtaking lighting, projection and motion graphics to the already spectacular show. And the result: a phenomenal bucket-list theatrical feast for the eyes, body, heart, and spirit, topped with fancy, frenetic, and fantastic footwork.
“Unmatched and unrivalled, beautiful to experience.” – Anchorage Daily News
CREATIVE TEAM AND CAST
Behind every five-star performance are the skillful hands of an accomplished creative team, and Riverdance 30: The New Generation is no different.
At the core of Riverdance 30: The New Generation is composer Bill Whelan’s incredible music – a full display of unparallelled musical mastery, featuring everything – from the goosebump-inducing voices of the vocal ensemble Anúna to the iconic Irish fiddle, from guitars to the melodic uilleann pipes, from the accordion to the tin whistle.
The strong leadership of original producer Moya Doherty and director John McColgan has resulted in a production that is worth seeing – even a second, third, and fourth time. They have created a rich musical tapestry that pleases the ear like no other, thrills the spirit in an extraordinary manner, and is a complete feast for the eye.
The Riverdance 30 cast include the talents of lead dancers Kieran Bryant, William Bryant, Gerard Byrne, Keeva Corry, Amy-Mae Dolan, Anna Mai Fitzpatrick, Fergus Fitzpatrick, Kellie Morris, Olivia Nachtigal, Caelan Power, Conor Rodgers, and Mairead Trainor among others; a full Irish dance troupe, Flamenco dancers, tapdancers, and a Dervish ensemble.

HISTORY AND LEGACY
Riverdance came into existence as a full production after the husband and wife production team John McColgan and Moya Doherty witnessed the massive success of the troupe during their performance in the seven-minute interval of the Eurovision Song Contest 1994 in Dublin. This performance transformed the reserved Irish dance tradition into something spectacular and modern, and was developed into a full-length production that had an outstanding debut in 1995, featuring world-renowned dancers Michael Flatley and Jean Butler.
To date, Riverdance – with a solid history of performing to sold-out audiences – has been performed over 15,000 times in 49 countries in six continents; and experienced live by over 30 million people around the globe.
