Are you one of those who adore the musicals that retell historical events in a modern way, San Diego Civic Theatre has a new musical. The Broadway play Six — The Musical offers outstanding music and a new perspective on the wives of Henry VIII. The crowd experiences the power of women with a captivating musical and contemporary pop music.
Founded on the frequent marriages of King Henry VIII, Six tells the story of the King's six wives. Penned by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, Six forms the tale as a singing contest in which each woman must tell their stories to win. The viewers watch as each bride reclaims their own identity.
The show starts as each of the ladies reveals themselves through a song. Only the lady who suffered the most can win the title of the band's lead singer. Despite fighting among themselves, the brides finally recognize they can no longer let this king define them. Finally, by the end they sing together as a allied unit.
The musical first opened in 2017, but San Diego Civic Theatre now unveils the latest showing. Audiences love the play's innovation and dynamic advocacy. Fans love the stunning music, the message, and the satisfaction that the musical inspires.

When Henry VIII is involved, though, the narrative includes intrigue, executions, and a lot of affairs, so it draws people in that people naturally are drawn to these things. The way it's delivered through all of these tunes is going to have you on your feet, chuckling, grooving, doing exactly that you'd like to be doing at a musical! By the way, it's also a lot less formal than your typical musical experience, so that idea of being on your feet is encouraged. Think of it like the Mamma Mia vibe!
