Illusion. Dance. Wonder. It's Momix: ALICE. The newest live dance-illusion spectacular by the one and only Moses Pendleton is here. Inspired by the wonderful tale of Alice in Wonderland, this new show offers audiences a unique way to relive the adventures down the rabbit hole. Featuring world-class dancers and highly skilled acrobats, every single twist and turn sends audiences into a state of wonder.
Featured on TV, film, and commercially, Momix has been broadcasted 50 countries & toured internationally, taking its acrobatics, dance, mime, props, gymnastics, and film feats in a theatrical masterpiece. Redefining dance on stage, MOMIX is a trailblazer in the theatrical dance scene. Not only do they perform dance shows, but they also create new stories as they adapt classic and familiar tales in a new light.
As Alice grows then shrinks, grows, and shrinks again - Pendleton's dancers creatively depict the whimsical elements that make Alice in Wonderland the famed classic it is today. Through props, ropes, and amazing coordination with many dancers, it's a visual feast that'll have your eyes going wild.
"I don’t intend to retell the whole Alice story," Pendleton said about the new show via a press release. He says that he simply used the story as a point to invent new elements and interpretations. "I’m curious to see what will emerge, and I’m getting curiouser and curiouser the more I learn about Lewis Carroll, who like me was a devoted photographer."
