Luis Angel, "El Flaco," and Julio Preciado come to the San Diego Civic Theatre on Friday, January 23rd. This is the first time that Don Julio and "El Flaco" are making their way to this venue together. The pair brings an emotional night with some of the best tracks in banda music history. It's rare these days to go to a concert where you're going to be able to sing along to every single track that's coming from the stage.

It shows someone like El Flaco understands that one of the main reasons why he's able to draw massive crowds is because performers like Don Julio walked the path first. That's why at pretty much every stop we've seen Don Julio moved to tears as El Flaco hits the notes to tracks like "Mi Ultimo Deseo." Sorry for the spoilers, but just know this is just one of the MANY emotional moments in this performance.
A look at the music libraries of either of these two performers tells you pretty much everything that you need to know about this concert. Julio Preciado was the original singer of "Acabame de Matar" or "Pena Tras Pena." A lot of these tracks later had a longer life when some of the mainstream bandas picked them up. Notably, his beloved, Original Banda El Limon. Meanwhile, El Flaco has delved into the corridos scene a bit in recent years, but he's also known for his romantic side. Bring plenty of tissues in your hat or your boots so that these highly emotional moments don't catch you by surprise.
