Based on Alexandre Dumas' well-known short story 'The Tale of a Nutcracker', legendary Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's delightful 1892-ballet 'The Nutcracker' has been hypnotic audiences around the globe for many years and became one of the world's choice, most famous and most admired classical ballets of all time.
Featuring some of the world's most well-known tunes in classical collection, 'The Nutcracker' tells the tale of young Clara who receives a rather peculiar wooden Nutcracker doll from the mysterious Drosselmeyer on Christmas Eve. After everyone has gone to bed and much to Clara's delight, the living room transforms into a wonderland where the toys come to life, with whom she embarks on an exciting adventure.
Apart from this wondrous story, 'The Nutcracker' features mega artistry - from jaw-dropping lifts and stunning leaps to incredible spins and brilliant, elegant dancing, from engaging choreography and intriguing puppetry to stunning hand-crafted costumes and scenery and of course, Tchaikovsky's EPIC score to underline the on-stage events.
