Echoes Through the Highlands

Get ready to journey to 18th-century Scotland as Outlander: In Concert - Outlands: Echoes Through The Highlands comes to San Diego on Thursday, November 12th, 2026. Eight seasons of Outlander will be re-imagined in live orchestral form, featuring the score of Outlander composed by award-winning composer Bear McCreary and selected by showrunner Matthew B. Roberts. Each concert will feature every note of the score performed live by a full symphony orchestra accompanied by intense moments from the series on a cinema-sized screen. The period instruments of bagpipes, fiddle, hurdy-gurdy, and more will also be featured. This extensive tour will visit and perform in over 75 cities across the United States and Europe. The show launches in Edinburgh, Scotland on May 30th, 2026 followed by US dates kick-off on September 26th, 2026 with the final US concert wrapping up in March 2027.

Bear McCreary

Known for his eclectic and genre-bending score for multiple TV and video game franchises, Bear McCreary’s music is synonymous with today’s visual entertainment. He will perform his most famous compositions including The Skye Boat Song (the Outlander theme that opens every episode), All Along the Watchtower from Battlestar Galactica, God of War theme, The Walking Dead theme, and the recently released The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2 soundtrack (2024). Mr. McCreary received an Emmy Award for Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music for Da Vinci’s Demons, 2 Children’s and Family Emmy Awards, 1 BAFTA Award and Grammy nomination for God of War. He is a recipient of the ASCAP Composers Choice Award. Creator of the The Walking Dead TV Score Bear McCreary was a protégé of legendary film composer Elmer Bernstein. Showrunner Matthew B. Roberts and Bear McCreary have curated the key moments from the series for this concert performance.

San Diego Civic theatre Information

The San Diego Civic theater is located at 1100 Third Avenue, San Diego, CA 92101 downtown. The theater has three levels of seating, Orchestra, Dress Circle, Mezzanine and Balcony with a full guest limit of 2,967 for performances. Please note all balcony seats involve stairs. The Civic is a cashless venue and as a result all concessions will need to be purchased with card or digital payment. One parking option for vehicles is the Wells Fargo Plaza Parking garage. This option is located at 401 B Street, San Diego, CA 92101. Another parking option for Wells Fargo Plaza is the Concourse Parking Garage. This large five-level subterranean garage has 1,150 parking spaces and is located at the intersection of 1st Avenue and A Street. Online advance parking passes can be purchased for this venue to ensure that a specific parking location is available for customers when they arrive. In addition, there is metered street parking and numerous parking lots throughout San Diego where vehicles can be parked while patrons are entertained at Wells Fargo Plaza.
